Champion Norbert Kiss will drive a tankpool24 Mercedes this season

26. March 2016Norbert Kiss will turn out for a new marque and team this coming season. The twice European champ from Hungary has switched to the German tankpool24 Mercedes team run by MB Motorsport.
Kiss came to the FIA ETRC in 2011 after a successful career in touring-car racing, taking his compatriot Zoltan Birnbauer’s seat in the Hungarian OXXO MAN team. In 2014 and 2015 the go-getting MAN pilot brought the European championship to Hungary, where he enjoys cult status comparable to that of a pop star.
At tankpool24 he will now partner André Kursim, who has been a member of the MB Motorsport Team since 2013. Markus Bauer and his entire crew, a private team of Mercedes-enthusiast truck race devotees, are very upbeat about the prospects this season for the sole Mercedes team in the ETRC, what with Stefan Honens, the extremely experienced and successful race truck constructor, also on board.
